What is telehealth?

Telehealth, or online counseling, is the use of video and audio technologies to support long-distance services between providers and their clients.

What is TheraNest?

TheraNest is the practice management application that Ochocki Counseling & Consulting uses to organize appointments, notes, and billing. TheraNest is HIPAA compliant and secure.

What is the client portal?

We use TheraNest as our electronic health record (EHR) and you’ll be provided with a login once you become a new client. The client portal allows you to securely sign necessary documents such as your consent for services forms, individualized treatment plans and attend your telehealth sessions.

Do I need a specific internet browser?

If you are using a desktop or laptop, we recommend:

  • Mozilla Firefox

  • Safari

If you are using a tablet or mobile phone, we recommend:

  • Android: Google Chrome

  • iOS (iPhone or iPad): Safari

What equipment do I need to join a session?

The following items are needed to join a telehealth (online therapy) session with us:

  • A computer, tablet, or phone (no applications or software to be downloaded)

  • An external or integrated webcam

  • An external or integrated microphone

  • An internet connection with a bandwidth of at least 10 MBPS. We recommend ethernet cable over Wi-Fi, if available, to ensure you receive the best connection. You can check your internet speed here.

  • Shut down all background applications to ensure telehealth receive the majority of your internet’s bandwidth, especially applications that use your camera.

What should I do if I am in a crisis or there is an emergency?
